Proving document integration using a document management system

“Through rationalising the fleet, Ethos restructured the initial contract to meet the operation requirements of the charity.”

The Challenge

A Nationwide Charity, Ethos retained the long-standing Print Management partnership after winning an extensive tender process. Upon retention, the charity had 120 locations with various devices that required continued outstanding service and support, and equipment refresh.

As a Charitable organisation, understandably, the cost was an intrinsic consideration. Therefore, identifying the correct hardware with the appropriate service and support wraparound was crucial to meet specific expectations.

Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They achieve this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.

As a Society, they are made up of people with dementia, carers, trusted experts, campaigners, researchers and clinicians. The Alzheimer’s are the UK’s largest collective force of people with unparalleled knowledge and over 40 years of experience addressing the biggest challenges facing people living with dementia.

The Solution

As the charity’s primary supplier, Ethos started by replacing old, obsolete devices. However, like many charitable businesses, the Alzheimer’s Society experienced unprecedented change during COVID.

Relying on donations and fundraising events, the charity experienced a substantial loss of revenues, and with that came the decision to consolidate its offices.

Versatility and flexibility were at the forefront of Ethos’ mind. Through rationalising the fleet, Ethos restructured the initial contract to meet the operation requirements of the charity.

Fleet Rationalisation

Ethos restructured and rationalised the charity’s device fleet following the consolidation of offices.

Cost Control

Working closely with the charity to understand its budgets, Ethos was able to restructure the initial contract, ensuring a fully consolidated fleet.

Innovation

The current architecture allows for future project innovation by developing the charity’s server infrastructure.
